Debbie’s CrossFit Experience

It all started the day I asked one of my coworkers, “So, what is this Crossfit thing and why should I try it?” I was pretty skeptical because I had tried just about everything from pilates to group aerobics classes to interval training. That was nearly a year ago and the results have been absolutely amazing. I’m now at a weight that I had set as a goal after my second child was born 12 years ago. A goal that I always thought was just too unrealistic. Looking at the numbers, I’ve lost over 30 pounds and 10% body fat. Being a numbers person, I love the quantitative nature of CrossFit. I can track all of my workouts and clearly see my improvement. However, the most powerful change that has happened for me is not physical but mental. I now have a whole new attitude about what I CAN do. CrossFit has not only made me physically stronger, but mentally as well. I have a new found confidence in myself that is very empowering. CrossFit is not easy, but the encouragement from the trainers and the group as a whole is what keeps me going. CrossFit has become a way of life for me. Thank you, Ty, Dee and the whole lunch time gang.

Hey Debbie, the first time I saw you at the gym (few Saturdays ago), I told Chris that my goal was to have a body like yours! Last weekend I saw your before and after pictures!! What a difference!!! As Amber said, you are a inspiration to all of us beginners.
