Reid
I began teaching martial arts in 1998 and taught for 4 years . I met Ty in 2001 when I beat him in a programming contest. In 2004, Ty punished me for that by taking me on my longest run ever (6 miles) and convinced me to train for our first marathon. Since then, I’ve taken up new sports including triathlons, road and mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, and snowshoeing and am always up for trying new sports. I’ve completed 7 marathons, qualified for and ran Boston, and competed in many triathlons from sprint to Ironman distance. I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2008 and have witnessed its effects on friends and family. I wish I had CrossFit when I was teaching martial arts, but now I’m excited to train others with such an effective program.
