Rob’s CrossFit Experience
My fitness background was watching my dad and uncles wrestle. Not participate, just watch. As far as sports are concerned, I did nothing athletic. I did sell weed to a few guys on the football team. Up til a month or so ago I had never done a pull up. I had never even passed a PE class. Now after a little over 6 months of crossfit Ive dropped close to 60 lbs and can do about 20 pull ups. I find myself getting stronger every week. Crossfit has been something that has changed every aspect of my life. I feel better at work. I can get through a day without wanting to nap. I have more energy for my kids. I don’t have to shoo them away because I feel so tired. My 10 year old says its nice not to have a fat daddy anymore. Quite often I run into people who haven’t seen me for a while. The first thing most ask is if I’m sick. Those of us who are already crossfitting know you have to be a little touched to do what we do. But it’s so much fun and has done wonders for my health and fitness. Ive tried 5 or 6 times over the last 15 years to get into better shape by joining some of the local 24 hour Europeanan golden gyms with little or no progress. I would go in, hit a machine for an hour or so and leave. Never speaking to anyone. The support, encouragement and friendships from not only the trainers here at crossfit but from all the members has made it easy to stick with and want to be here. I enjoy the lifting the most. As strange as it seems i dig doing burpees. I can just kind of zone out, find a happy place and keep moving. I would like to see all the rowers thrown out. that has to be the hardest for me. I’ll even pay the disposal fee.

You look great Robbie. Watching your progress has been inspiring. BUT if it were me I would throw out the burpees, if it were possible, before the rowers. I’m just say’n
