I wanted to thank you for your encouragement and support with CrossFit. I was reluctant to start because I thought it would be too hard. However, after seeing my husband trim down 40 pounds after 6 months, I was impressed and had to give it a try. After all, I couldn’t have my husband looking hot and sexy and showing up with overweight me! My husband got me started over Easter break of 2009 and I have continued with it now for 8 months. I am so thrilled to say, I have lost 23 pounds and I have lost many inches since starting Crossfit. I can’t say it has been easy because it hasn’t been, but I got tired of looking at myself being overweight and decided it was time to do something about it. The WODs are tough but fun and most are only 15-20 minutes long. That totally beats going to a mainstream gym and spending 50 minutes doing a spinning class and another 30-40 minutes lifting weights. I love how we can get in and out of the Crossfit gym in less than an hour and leave feeling like we really got a good work out. I have built some new friendships with the people that go to the noon class and I look forward to working out with them. We all encourage one another to strive harder. I feel so much better about myself now and I am much stronger than I used to be even in my teens. I never thought after having 4 children and being in my forties that I could look and feel so good, but thanks to you, CrossFit, and making better food choices, I am able to do that now.
